About the role
Job Overview
This position will be the lead financial support for the Transportation and Warehousing teams. Financial duties include influencing business decisions that drive customer adoption, revenue, and profitability. The Senior Financial Analyst, Supply Chain FP&A will perform financial planning and analysis; automating and/or building complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance, develop short and long range financial/operational forecasts, standardize and automate financial reports and work on ad hoc financial analysis and projects. The successful candidate will implement and drive the core financial processes for the business including annual operating plans/forecasts, P&Ls, monthly/quarterly business reviews, identifying and quantifying financial/operational risks and opportunities to the business, and driving ad-hoc business projects. Additional duties include Consolidation and Reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- In depth monthly analysis/forecast to drive key financial metrics and foster an environment of continuous optimization
- Work with FP&A team and independently across the company to provide analysis and insight to key stakeholders, including company leadership, in core processes as well as on a project basis including profit opportunities
- Support FP&A Senior Manager/Director in future and post analysis in business decision making for business partners
- Provide analytical support to the procurement & purchasing teams including rate / volume analysis, financial impacts of decisions and recommendations on areas of improvement
- Closely tied to Costing and Supply Chain Finance, determining impact of COGS changes on future pricing to attain optimal pricing
- Support Sales in pricing for customer bids
- Drive internal process improvements and controls; continually identify opportunities for automation to allow the team to perform world-class analytics
- Responsible for driving and supporting financial close activities, ensuring that all margin and expense items are booked correctly to the GL and that risk has been assessed, presented and mitigated
- Create models, analysis and presentations that condense complex topics into actionable information
- Work with inventory control management and logistics team with financial analysis and finance support
- Analyze business results on a monthly and quarterly basis to better understand present and future financial performance in order to achieve or exceed profit targets
- Prepare reports and analysis in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, month-end reports, pricing, product line profitability, new product, SG&A, and inventory.
- Assist the Senior Manager, Supply Chain FP&A with budget planning, forecasting and other corporate financial requirements
Qualifications
- University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years in finance roles, ideally in CPG or Supply Chain/Manufacturing
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Strong financial modeling skills, including the application of modelling best practices
- Advanced analytical skills
- Familiarity with tools such as Power Query, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python VB
- An ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices and regulations
- An ability to drive company processes and controls throughout the organization
- An ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
- Strong interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills
- Strong leadership skills

Salary Transparency: High Liner Foods’ compensation offerings are founded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $73k - $86k; the base pay is offered based on a variety of factors including geographical market location, and may vary depending on job grading practices, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity factors. As part of our total rewards offering, employees may be eligible to participate in an annual short-term incentive program [and long-term incentive program] (for Dir+) subject to program eligibility requirements.
