Whether you’re sampling an incredible variety of raw bar delicacies or tucking into a piping hot Seafood Hodge Podge, Drift’s dishes aim to deliver equal parts comfort and surprise. Job Description Under the direction of the General Manager, we are looking for a Restaurant Manager at Drift Salon & Bar who will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant including staffing, cost controls, staff training, budgeting, administration and active floor management during service. What you will be doing as a Restaurant Manager: Communicating the vision to all team members and leads by example; Promoting the restaurant’s brand and core values to both customers and employees; Ensuring consistent and exceptional guest experience; Interacting with guests, addressing inquiries, managing feedback and complaints promptly and professionally; Liaising with back-of-house leadership as appropriate to resolve any issues regarding food quality or presentation; Ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations, including managing staff schedules, maintaining service standards, and upholding a high level of cleanliness; Providing mentorship to the front of house team, including monitoring employee performance, providing regular feedback, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing corrective actions as needed; Acting as a team player and stepping in to assist with additional duties when necessary; Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations; Ensuring compliance with manager accountabilities as outlined in the Liquor Control Act and upholding all relevant legal standards; Ensuring that opening and closing procedures are followed when on duty; Such other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time. The person we are looking for has: A post-secondary diploma/degree in Business or Hospitality is considered an asset; 2-3 years proven experience in a managerial role within a hospitality establishment; Strong wine, beer, and classic cocktail knowledge; Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; The ability to anticipate and fulfill guests' needs before they even ask, ensuring a flawless dining experience; Skills in addressing and resolving guest complaints or concerns with tact, ensuring a positive outcome without compromising the guest experience; Superior verbal and written communication skills.
