Merit Cleaning Services delivers best-in-class cleaning services within hotels, commercial offices, residential buildings as well as private residential dwellings throughout the HRM. We are currently hiring a Over Night Cleaner who takes pride in their work, has leadership experience, is knowledgeable of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and is dedicated to meticulously sanitizing high touch surfaces throughout every property. This is a full-time position, Five working days , supporting our commercial/ residential buildings and Freehand restaurants in Halifax.

What you will be doing

Completing all essential cleaning for all assigned spaces of the property which will include windows, elevators, doors, seating, counter, tables, and fixtures. Provide premium cleaning at all designated areas; thorough cleaning of washrooms and public spaces, complete vacuuming, washing of all non-carpeted floors, dusting baseboards and light fixtures. Cleaning, waste removal to a centralized location, and maintaining the buildings and amenities in a first-class manner, including ensuring building safety, using their own judgment, or as directed by the Employer. Complying with policies and procedures for the operation of the Building and the Employer.

What you bring

Experience training new employees. Previous experience leading a team. Experience cleaning commercial/residential/hospitality properties with a demonstrated ability for attention to detail. Previous experience using an auto scrubber is considered an asset. Previous customer service experience is considered an asset. Physically able to complete repeated and continued movements of the upper body. Ability to stand, walk, kneel and bend for extended periods. Qualified applicants are invited to submit their resume.
