Role: Java Full Stack Developer
Location: Calgary (3 days on-site) Type: Contract Rate: CAD50/hr - CAD60/hr

Ready to lead the next generation of enterprise applications? Join our team as a Senior Java Microservices Lead Engineer and play a key role in designing scalable, high-performance solutions that power critical business operations across the Cards & Payments and Asset & Wealth Management domains.
What You'll Do
Lead the design and implementation of scalable Microservices Architecture to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability. Drive the development and deployment of RESTful Web Services for seamless application integration. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams, fostering innovation and collaboration. Implement and manage Kafka-based real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures. Design, optimize, and maintain databases using Oracle and PL/SQL, ensuring data integrity and performance. Develop enterprise-grade applications using Spring Boot, Spring Core, and Core Java. Conduct code reviews and champion engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Java expertise with strong software engineering fundamentals Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Core, Microservices, and REST Web Services Strong proficiency in Kafka, Oracle, and PL/SQL Experience building scalable, distributed, and event-driven applications Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor development teams Knowledge of Cards & Payments and/or Asset & Wealth Management domains Top 3 Skills for Success Spring Boot, Microservices & REST Web Services Kafka, Oracle & PL/SQL Core Java
