Director of Care and Quality- Full-Time
Salary:$100,368-$119,850

**Position Description:**As Director of Care and Quality, you will report to the Executive Director and work in collaboration with Indwell’s Regional Directors. You will be responsible for the overall excellence of Indwell’s program data and healthcare services. Your leadership will equip Indwell’s Advance Practice Leads and data team, to deliver on quality assurance, policy and procedure development, risk mitigation, and overall compliance in care services. You will be expected to lead organizational operations that deliver excellent standards of care, adhere to accreditation expectations, as well as other regulatory standards, as applicable. Recommendations to organizational operations should be results-driven through both internal and external as well as formal and informal evaluation processes. As Director of Care and Quality you will be expected to maintain positive internal, community, and public relations. Your work is expected to be driven by Indwell’s mission, vision, and values.

**HOURS/Work Location:**Full time hours primarily weekdays. Flexiblilty with hours and travel within Indwell's regions of operations as required to meet organizational needs.

ACHIEVE RESULTS
- Ensure clinical risk prevention and mitigation
- Utilizes data, research, and organizational evaluation to support quality tenant care, staff well-being and purpose, and external engagement.
- Apply data and research knowledge to improve and sustain organizational operations (including review of occurrence reports)
- Oversees program planning, development, and evaluation utilizing evidence-informed practices to ensure regulatory compliance, meeting accreditation requirements, and alignment with community needs.
- Integrates data systems to guide decision making and the implementation and review of organizational policies
- Uphold standards of practice as an accredited provider of health and support services, reporting, and policy obligations. Including compliance with external regulatory bodies
- Applies clinical risk prevention and mitigation measures.
- Provides direct oversight of quality improvement activities
- Upholds and adheres to relevant privacy requirements
- Analyze and review policies impacting Indwell’s service growth
- Evaluates internal data management systems support organization current and future needs
- Employs data analytics and reporting to monitor program outcomes, identify trends, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Leads and produces deliverables that inform and produce responsible growth of current and future health and support services. This includes oversight and leadership of data collection, analysis of program operations including financial performance. Informs development of new services and resourcing initiatives based on outcome data .
- Ensures prompt completion of incident follow-up, audits, and administrative tasks, upholding high standards of safety, documentation, and accountability.
- Provides dependable leadership presence, focusing on early identification and prevention of systemic challenges to care operations. Proactive approaches to care to support crisis prevention and risk mitigation
DEVELOP COALITIONS
- Uses knowledge and expertise in areas of quality care and data and evaluation to liaison and advocate with funding partners (Ministry of Health, Ontario Health Teams, other)
- Upholds strong relationships between quality assurance team (Advance Practice Leads, Data Management and Policy stakeholders)
- Build research and evaluation capacity at both regional and organizational levels
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with community partners, funders, and stakeholders to maximize service integration and community impact.
- Ensure organizational representation at networks and planning tables, advancing collaborative solutions and advocating for supportive and affordable housing.
- Coordinates closely with internal teams to synchronize efforts and reinforce organizational cohesion.
- Promotes the organization’s mission and programs to expand community awareness and support, including engagement in fundraising activities.
- SYSTEM TRANSFORMATION
- Publicly communicate research, policy work, and supportive housing
- Facilitate integration of Indwell into relevant health and social service networks
- Integrate healthcare and systems knowledge to support both regulated/non-regulated colleagues in clinical service delivery
- Demonstrates adaptability and forward-thinking, identifying opportunities to optimize service delivery and strengthen organizational resilience.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- A committed leader with a clear sense of calling, personally committed to the Christian faith as affirmed through attestation to Indwell’s Statement of Faith, and dedicated to upholding Indwell’s mission, vision, and values. The Director of Care and Quality actively integrates these values into all aspects of daily work, including organizational culture, leadership practices, decision-making, and strategic direction.
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in housing, healthcare, and/or social impact organizations
- Proven ability to lead inter and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work effectively in a high stress environment, work independently, be flexible, organized, responsible and take initiative
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field (eg. Social work, health care, nonprofit management)
- 5+ years of supervisory and leadership experience in a social service setting
- Access to a car and valid “G” class driver’s license
