Description:
The Human Resources Recruitment & Staffing Coordinator is responsible for leading and supporting recruitment, staffing, onboarding, employee relations, and training initiatives for a variety of employee groups within the organization. This role ensures efficient hiring practices, effective communication, compliance with collective agreements and board policies, and the delivery of high-quality HR services to employees and administrators.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring
- Lead the recruitment and selection process for the OSSTF group within Continuing Education Services.
- Provide recruitment support to Recruitment Officers for non-teaching positions and support the Human Resources Manager
- Administrative Services in the recruitment of PASS, Clerical, Early Childhood Educators (ECE), Educational Assistants (EA), Custodial staff, and on-call casual employees.
- Manage and coordinate Summer School recruitment for all non-teaching employee groups.
- Coordinate and facilitate interview processes, including scheduling, communication, and candidate assessment.
- Assess staffing needs and implement effective staffing solutions for assigned employee groups.
Onboarding & Employee Support
- Coordinate and lead onboarding sessions for newly hired employees.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, issue resolution, and employee relations matters for assigned groups.
- Foster positive working relationships across departments and administration to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Payroll & HR Administration
- Ensure the accurate and timely flow of wage and salary information to the Payroll Department.
- Maintain and update HR-related computer programs and databases associated with assigned employee groups.
- Ensure compliance with collective agreements, terms and conditions documents, board policies, and procedures.
Training & Professional Development
- Recommend, develop, and implement training programs for Secretarial and Clerical employee groups.
- Support ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance employee skills and organizational effectiveness.
Additional Duties
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum Community College diploma specializing in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, staffing, onboarding, and employee relations practices
- Working knowledge of collective agreements, employment legislation, and HR policies/procedures
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
- Proficiency with HR information systems and computer applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Salary: PASS Job Grade 4 - Professional Administrative Support Staff (PASS) ($64,842.00 - $80,973.00)
