About the role
Specialist, Application Development (Full Stack Developer) Reference #40291 Waterdown, Ontario About the Role Responsible for research, design, and development of computer software systems. Participates in all phases of the development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of products. Applies computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of the target application. Works closely with cross functional organizations to develop and evaluate interfaces, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system. Develops test procedures, software programs, and related documentation. Contributes to determining, estimating, and validating the cost and scope of software efforts to ensure product meets project cost, schedule, and technical constraints Primary Responsibilities
Develop and maintain web applications using C#, ASP.NET., and Microsoft SQL Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Troubleshoot and debug applications. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Create device-independent reactive designs using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript, and Bootstrap. Develop unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Lead small to medium feature developments. Work in an agile team environment. Be a team player and collaborate effectively with the team. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Refactor and restructure existing code bases and modules to improve performance and maintainability
Required Capabilities
Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET. Strong knowledge of SQL Server and database management. Experience with DevOps practices and tools is an asset Experience in a development team that follows Agile project methodologies is an asset Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Able to quickly adapt and learn new or unfamiliar technologies. Strong customer service orientation, and has served as part of a motivated and diverse team. Strong communication and teamwork skills. May have practical knowledge of project management. Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field (Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math) is preferred Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is an asset Business experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment is an asset
Desired Education and Experiences
Requires practical knowledge of job area. Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
*This posting is for a current vacancy. In the province of Ontario, Canada, the pay range for this position will be $85,000 to $105,000. #LI-BD1
