Salary: [$27-29 per hour]
About Us Redfeather Horticulture is a horticultural services company dedicated to creating beautiful, landscape and agricultural projects.
We are seeking a knowledgeable Horticulturalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong plant knowledge, experience in the field, a clean driving record and a desire to do cool stuff!
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake large planting projects. Candidate's role will involve ensuring the highest standards in installation. We initially anticipate this role to be working closely with Redfeather Senior staff
- Occasionally assist in nursery operations (sowing, repotting, grafting, pruning etc.)
- Occasionally assist in vegetation management/ecological restoration projects
- Operate vehicles and equipment safely
- Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of plants, soils, fertilizers, and pest management
- Ability to identify common plant diseases and pests
- Red Seal certified (or currently registering hours towards RSE)
- Experience using landscaping tools and equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Certificate or diploma in Horticulture or related field
- Valid BC Pesticide Applicators Certificate
