SPA ATTENDANT LEAD

WHO YOU ARE

Reporting to the Maintenance Management. The Spa Attendant Lead is an individual who can take charge of each shift, lead personnel and delegate responsibilities during each shift. You will be responsible to discuss and assist with scheduling/coverage, future planning, goals and address team performance issues.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Daily

“Hands on” Spa Attendant duties, as listed below:

• Assisting guests and responding to inquiries.
• Schedule and Monitor the spa and quiet zone, ensuring guests are following protocols.
• Empty change room laundry receptacles in the proper location.
• Ensure adequate cleaning supplies are always on hand and advise the supervisor if supplies are running low.
• Ensuring fires are always stocked by moving wood from the bins to all fire locations with a wagon throughout the day/evening.
• Ensuring Sauna fires and outdoor fires are always burning, keeping saunas at temperature.
• Ensuring saunas and steam rooms are functioning appropriately for Vettä guests (add wood/water when required)
• Sweep and mop and squeegee floors in buildings and outside in the spa area, cleaning windows, walls and doors
• Ensure restrooms and locker rooms are always kept clean and tidy by cleaning mirrors, toilets, showers, soap dispensers, floors, etc.
• Replenish supplies in restrooms, such as soap dispensers, toilet paper, towels, shampoo, and all other amenities supplied.
• Replenish supplies in locker rooms and pick up towels and place them in laundry area.
• Occasional night cleaning duties.
• Collect garbage and recycling items around the Spa grounds and put in appropriate containers.
• Assist with minor repairs as required.
• Perform routine maintenance activities around Vettä Spa building and grounds.
• Comply with all Health and Safety procedures.
• Shoveling and salting as required in Winter season, pulling weeds and watering plants in summer season.
• Deep cleaning as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Lead Responsibilities

• Daily inspection of all areas

• Lead daily pre-shift meetings, discussing unfinished business from the day before.

• Delegate daily tasks to the team.

• Train new team members

• Inspecting areas at the end of each shift and Coaching team members on items missed or needing improvement

• Encouraging the team to complete tasks thoroughly and on a timely basis.

• Address general employee issues and report them to Maintenance Managers.

• Complete an everyday “end of shift report” or make notes in a communication book.

• Make recommendations to the Maintenance Leads or Managers for improvements.

• Assist Maintenance Leads or Managers with performance reviews.

• Comply with and enforce Health and Safety procedures.

• Report any deficiencies or repairs needed to Maintenance Lead

• Assist the Maintenance Leads or Managers with reports, inventory and planning, as required.
