Container Associate (Days) About This Role: Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent Warehouse Container Associate for our 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, Ontario! Paste this link in your browser and check out our video here: https://youtu.be/fdz66L7FBgU What You'll Do: Unload containers to the specified configuration of cases per layer on the pallet as per the purchase order Lift boxes with a weight range of 1-50 pounds repetitively throughout the shift Segregate boxes by item number Interlock cases on pallets and secure with tape or shrink wrap Identify and report any quantity variances and any damages to the Receiver associate Various warehouse duties, as directed by the supervisor What You'll Bring: Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards Capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs and repetitively lifting heavy objects throughout shift Comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced environment and in hot or cold weather conditions Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and a team player Able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and follow directions Assets You May Have: Experience in receiving Experience in a warehouse environment Class G2 or higher driver’s license When You'll Work: Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00am - 2:30pm Giant Tiger is proud to offer a Total Rewards package designed to support your financial security, health, and career growth. Hourly Rate
$19.43 What Giant Tiger Offers: Competitive Compensation: The expected pay rate for this position is listed above, and Giant Tiger offers guaranteed increases based on cumulative hours worked. Please note that overnight shifts and working in our cold storage location qualify for hourly premiums, further increasing your earning potential.
Retirement Support: We automatically contribute 6% of your annual earnings to a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan account for you, fully funded by the company for all permanent, full-time employees.
