SOUTH CENTRAL INTERIOR DISTANCE EDUCATION SCHOOL** **

1.0 FTE Temporary full-time Grade 8 & 9 Generalist teaching position, beginning September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.****_ _

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:****__

•       Training and experience working with grade-level students. 
  

•      Knowledge and experience working with Brightspace. 
  

•      Experience adapting materials, resources, assessments and learning outcomes for student needs.
  

•      Willingness to travel throughout the region as needed.
  

•      Valid BC Teaching Certificate and familiarity with BC Curriculum. 
  

•      Teaching category five or higher. 
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:****__

•       Familiarity with “Standards for K -12 Distributed Learning in British Columbia.”** __**
  

•       A commitment to supporting a variety of learning needs. **__**
  

•       Experience/training in supporting the social-emotional learning needs of students. 
  

•      Committed to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, staff and parents. 
  

•      Committed to working as a member of a school team in support of students.
