Finning Canada is looking for a passionate and field experienced Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal preferred) to join our team based out of Kamloops. In this role, you will be working directly with the Kamloops Mining Team supporting the ongoing activities at a variety of mining sites, on a 7x7 Continuous shift. You will be responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar and other branded power systems products.

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with maintenance team on-site
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosis of product issue
- Interface with customer, product support and sales support
- Working with the on-site maintenance team
- Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirement
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Various related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification required (Red Seal preferred)
- 5+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience recommended
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding of the Caterpillar mining product line will be considered an asset
- Previous mining experience with 793D, 793F, D10T, 24M
Important Details:
- This is a site position, on a 7 x 7 continuous shift rotation
- A condition of employment requires the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (drug, alcohol and fitness testing) and the capacity to wear a respirator
- Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
