Position Summary
If you know anything about the construction business, you know that getting the right products to the right site on time and safely is the benchmark of success. It is both challenging and rewarding work. We are Team Convoy, and we want folks with great people skills on our team because, in the end – people make all the difference.
We’re looking for self-sufficient, motivated Driver/Shipper Receiver for our Abbotsford location at 2046 Paramount Cres who want to help us expand our fast-growing business.
Responsibilities

Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups

Load and unload materials
-
Match shipments to sales invoices
-
Use Samsara technology to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency and customer service

Operate truck safely
-
Ensure load securement
-
Prepare bills of landing, invoices and other shipping receiving documents
-
Assemble orders, packing, wrapping, and labelling pallets, can place material in storage areas
-
Load and unload trucks, ensure accuracy and quality of loads
-
Inspect and verify incoming products against appropriate
-
Organize stock and maintain inventory
-
Assist in inventory audits
-
Follow all safety requirements
-
Drive a forklift
Requirements
- Dedicated to safety, on and off the road
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract
- Inspect vehicle daily as per Highway Traffic Act
- Maintain clean equipment and monitor maintenance requirements
- Knowledge and competency in flat deck load securement
- Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Pride in being on time, self-sufficient, and able to provide knowledgeable, excellent customer service
- Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, shipping and receiving department or similar environment
- Have forklift certificate or are willing to learn
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
