About Us
Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
The Role
Cameco has a great student opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to be a part of Key Lake’s radiation team.
In this role, you will:
- assist in ensuring operational compliance with the radiation protection program.
- collect, maintain, and record radiation data as well as issue radiation work permits as required. conduct routine monitoring and assess working conditions pertaining to radiation protection for the safety of all workers.
Required:
-
You are a university student currently enrolled in a science-based post-secondary education program;
-
Strong communication and computer skills;
-
Valid Class 5 driver’s license;
-
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft; and
-
You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.
Conditions of Employment:
- pre-employment substance test; and
- driver’s license.
