What you’ll do
Reporting to the Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk is responsible for
- Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Killarney Food Store, Produce Department;
- Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety;
- Maintain and display all types of produce according to department standards;
- Greet customers and responding to customer questions;
- Product preparation, packaging, pricing and merchandising;
- Customer Service, preparing customer orders etc.;
- Cleaning & Maintenance of the Produce Department equipment and work station;
- Ensure department best practices are consistently executed;
- Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf;
- Activating/deactivating promotion and sale pricing;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who you are
You are looking for a career in the retail and
- A Grade 12 or combination of relevant experience;
- Ability to lift and load products: extensive physical labour required;
- Essential to be available to weekend shifts;
- You are able to delegate tasks when given multiple tasks at once;
- You’re action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members;
- You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do;
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
The successful candidate will work effectively both independently and as part of
a team.
