YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Maintenance General Supervisor, you will be part of the Energy & Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Participate in the development, maintenance and optimization of surface/UG infrastructures and mechanical systems to ensure safety, performance, and efficiency;
- Ensure the consistent application of industry and manufacturer best practices on departmental assets such as the power plant, fuel delivery systems, incinerator, HVAC, heating network and buildings;
- Evaluate field installation conformance to engineering drawings and plans;
- Continuously monitor E&I daily operations and implement optimization initiatives (Value stream mapping, time studies);
- Develop & implement internal tools (software’s, templates) to automate processes and improve team efficiency;
- Provide technical assistance and training to the team on the new processes and tools and on project planning systems;
- Lead KPI-driven projects as assigned by the supervisor.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline;
- 1- 3 years of experience in a similar role;
- Currently hold or working towards a professional engineering designation for Northwest Territories and Nunavut;
- Mining experience is considered an asset;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.
Note that the official working language at Hope Bay Project is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Hybrid Schedule: Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A combination of working from home and frequent visits to site on a 7/7 schedule (7 days on site, followed by 7 days off);
- Accommodation and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
