YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Energy and Infrastructure Supervisor, you will be part of the Energy and Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Collect and transport waste from designated areas safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper segregation of waste materials in compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Operate incinerators and waste oil burning systems according to established procedures.
- Prepare backhaul materials for safe return and disposal.
- Identify and classify waste types to ensure correct handling and disposal methods.
- Maintain accurate records of waste collection, segregation, and disposal activities.
- Assist in emergency response procedures related to hazardous waste incidents.
- Coach and mentor trainees, providing hands-on training and guidance in waste management.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Training in waste management is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of waste management standards, TDG regulations and environmental regulations.
- Experience operating incinerators, waste oil burners and similar equipment.
- Basic skills with Microsoft Excel. - Valid Driver's License.
Note that the official working language at our Hope Bay Project is English.
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 21 days of work, followed by 21 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
