What You Will Do:

• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Assist in building and leading a high-performance team that delivers on budgeted targets by maximizing operational efficiency.
• Ensure the department is displaying, stocking, and rotating merchandise as per company policy and standard with a focus on maintaining image and brand standards.
• Assist customers with product selection, custom cuts, and special orders.
• Operate and maintain meat cutting, processing, and refrigeration equipment safely.
• Provide superior leadership to deli team members through coaching, mentoring, performance management and feedback.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Oversee the completion of daily reports, reconciliations, and purchases.
• Champion the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, procedures.
• Perform minor repairs to assets as required.
• Perform all other duties as required.

**Who You’ll Work With:**Reporting to Meat Team Leader, you will be a key participant in initiating, developing, and executing plans and policies to ensure continued growth in sales, service, and customer satisfaction. You will help lead a fun and enthusiastic team to cultivate a culture of collaboration.

Who You Are: You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service and:

• You have your high school diploma or relevant experience, approved retail meat cutting course or previous retail meat cutting experience especially in the Co-operative Retailing System would be considered assets.
• You have 1-2 years of experience in a Meat department, grocery store, or food service environment, Co-operative Retailing System experience is an asset.
• You have experience with meat products and food preparation techniques, and production planning.
• You have knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• You are creative, self-reliant, goal oriented, and can set and adjust priorities in an ever-changing retail environment.
• You possess experience in the areas of member relations, selling, health and safety, ordering, receiving, merchandising, asset maintenance.
• You have strong leadership, interpersonal, communication skills, and the ability to successfully motivate and work with team members.
• You have a high level of integrity and accountability.
• You have sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
• You are honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
• You are able strategically plan and organize both your own tasks and those of your team, delegating tasks when necessary.
• You have a well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
• You are customer focused and have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment.
• You carry a valid Class 5 license and are available for day travel within the Lake Country Co-op trading area to attend seminars, meetings, training programs for other operational purposes.
• You have the ability to fulfill the physical job requirements, standing, working outside and inside, lifting up to 25 lbs.
• You have a flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
