Tryout Department

Full Time – Hourly
SyBridge Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated Process Technician to join our team. The Process Technician is responsible for running tool tryouts by setting up molds in machine presses, maintaining work materials, and troubleshooting within the Tryout Department. This role ensures that quality is a priority at every stage while meeting production timelines and supporting overall customer satisfaction.
From design to production, we utilize cutting-edge digital technologies to help our clients achieve their product development goals.
The Process Technician works closely with Engineering, Program Managers, Mold Making, and Production teams to support successful mold trials and process development, ensuring tools perform to specification before full production.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily oversight of process start-up, shut-down, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless operations.
- Verify the functionality of molds in the press on a daily basis.
- Locate resin for tryouts, setting up dryers, ensuring the correct nozzle tip is used, safely setting up tools and machines, and completing all associated paperwork.
- Regularly perform preventative maintenance on assigned presses, including greasing joints, monitoring oil levels, identifying and repairing leaks, and promptly reporting maintenance issues.
- Perform end-of-shift cleanup tasks, including press cleanup, emptying scrap bins, sweeping pellets, organizing materials, and returning equipment to its designated place.
- Maintain shift continuity by documenting actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs in provided logs.
- Regular operation of overhead cranes and forklifts to transport molds and components, with a focus on safety and precision.
- Daily setup and removal of tools from the press, ensuring precision and efficiency.
- As needed, fine-tune equipment, valves, pumps, and controls, making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal process performance.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool education or equivalent is required.
- 4+ years of related experience as a Process Technician.
- Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Strong leadership and ability to be a team player.
