ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN

THE OPPORTUNITY

The accounting technician supports the team in processing transactions, analyzing variances, helping to prepare year-end files, and carrying out accounting activities across the various management companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using computerized bookkeeping systems

• Prepare various financial and accounting reports

• Reconcile vendor statements of account

• Process payments by cheque and by credit and debit cards

• Calculate and prepare cheques for utility bills, taxes and other payments

• Issue cheques and electronic fund transfers (EFTs)

• Document and prepare invoices and purchase orders

• Answer various questions from suppliers regarding their accounts and expected payments

SALARY

• $72 010 to 76 000 per year (to be negotiated)

QUALIFICATIONS

• College diploma in accounting or related field;

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience;

• Experience in residential, commercial, industrial or hotel real estate, an asset;

• Knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel and Yardi software;

• Fluency in spoken and written French.

• Permanent, full time (40 hours per week)

• Hybrid work model: option to work from home one day a week after the probationary period
