About the role
You are a Welder with fabrication experience who is looking for a long-term
opportunity close to home. You will be working in a Heavy Equipment Maintenance facility supporting Heavy Duty Mechanics repairing various mobile equipment. Watch Ledcor’s Innovation, Culture and Community video to see what it’s like working for Ledcor and apply today to join the Ledcor Equipment team in Leduc, Alberta! .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpn_YHIhP8U Essential Responsibilities: Read and follow directions in given layouts, blueprints and work orders Welds parts, and may also build up worn parts by w:lding layers of high-strength hard-metal alloys onto them Assist in preparing parts to be welded, which may include cutting, punching, drilling, and bending of material Use and operate the welding equipment to fabricate and customize products Operate flame-cutting equipment General welders helper duties such as grinding, buffing and weld set up Qualifications: Must be a certified Journeyperson or registered Alberta apprentice Previous experience working on mobile construction or road maintenance equipment (loaders, graders, etc.) is considered an asset Must be able to pass CWB testing Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing A valid class 5 driver's license and maintain a clean driver’s abstract Work Conditions: Monday through Friday shift, working 8-10 hour days Benefits provided by CLAC This is an employee position (no rigs) Additional Information Ledcor builds and maintains infrastructure in various industries including oil and gas, transportation, and mining.
