Position Details
The University of Lethbridge Student Enrolment & Registrar Services team is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and passionate Coordinator, Convocation & Student Records to join our dynamic, creative and collaborative team.
The Coordinator is a full-time, temporary position covering a maternity leave and expect to extend to January 2028. The position is responsible for the development and implementation of multiple annual Convocation ceremonies, as well as the maintenance of data related to the student academic record. The Coordinator uses data to inform decision-making and program development and works closely with experts and stakeholders from the institution and local community to enhance the student experience and celebrate student achievements. The incumbent will maintain an understanding of University protocols and guidelines, guide the development of new protocols, manage the affairs of the General Faculties Council Convocation Committee, and exude confidence in leading effective meetings about a variety of responsibilities, from low-level logistical details to high-level multiyear planning.
This position will be responsible for the maintenance of student data related to demographic information, student program details, registration, academic history, including grades and degree component accuracy, and transcript integrity.
Tasks Will Include:
- Maintaining student records in the Banner Student Information System;
- Working with electronic files;
- Creating and maintaining system rules for processes such as web grade entry and registration.
The Coordinator will also be a champion of the MyCreds digital wallet, coordinating the enhancement and delivery of digital academic documents to students and alum.
Occasional evenings and weekends will be required.
Qualified candidates are invited to provide a cover letter and a detailed resume. U of L alumni or employees and candidates with prior post-secondary convocation and/or post-secondary work experience will have a competitive advantage in the application process.

Position Qualifications
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree plus two or more years of experience related to event planning and/or post-secondary, preferably in a university setting and with relation to Convocation. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience with data entry and integrity, strong (student-focused) customer service skills and a high level of professionalism. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, familiarity of Student Information Systems, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders will be critical.
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a familiarity with strategic enrolment management, Student Information Systems, and convocation trends and practices.
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$5,291.00 - $5,989.00 monthly
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$5,291.00 - $6,687.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 12)
