Cocotte Bistro is seeking a reliable and detail oriented Prep Cook to support the kitchen team in daily food preparation. This role is essential to ensuring smooth kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for service (washing, chopping, portioning, etc.)
• Assist with daily mise en place according to kitchen needs
• Follow recipes, prep lists, and instructions from the Chef and Sous Chef
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
• Label, date, and store food properly following food safety standards
• Assist with basic cooking tasks as required
• Support the line cooks during service when needed
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Profile Requirements

• Previous experience as a Prep Cook or in a kitchen environment (asset)
• Basic knowledge of kitchen tools, knife skills, and food preparation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Team oriented, dependable, and professional attitude
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Food safety certification (asset)
