Salary Range**:**$40.375 - $50.593 Hourly
Grade**:**SGEU.11.
The Ministry of Energy and Resources, Field Services Branch, requires energetic, self-motivated individuals to join our Regional office in the Lloydminster Regional Field Office.
The successful candidates will be a part of a team that is responsible for the delivery of regulatory compliance and enforcement programs relating to the upstream oil and gas industry. You will conduct field inspections and approve technical programs and applications submitted by the industry with respect to drilling, construction, production, operation, abandonment, decommissioning and reclamation of wells and facilities.
You will have knowledge of engineering, environmental and safety standards and practices as it relates specifically to the exploration, development, operational and production of the provincial oil and gas resources. You will have demonstrated ability in supervising deadline-sensitive projects and large workloads. The successful applicant will be required to work undefined hours, travel and work in remote locations and inclement conditions. You may be on call for extended periods of time and may be required to transfer to other locations within the province. A Class 5 driver's licence is required.
The knowledge required for this position would typically be obtained through an engineering or applied science degree with experience in the petroleum exploration and development industry, or an equivalent combination of related education, training and experience.
