About the role
The Opportunity:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position ofBakery Managerat ourLorette Food Storelocated at11 Laramee Drive, in Lorette, Manitoba. This position reports to the Store Manager. The Bakery Manager adds value to our Co-operative by providing leadership and direction to all aspects of bakery department operations.
Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:
- Provide leadership and direction in the execution of financial results and store budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits.
- Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, inventory control, purchasing, and the delivery of world-class customer service.
- Provide leadership in the area of employee relations, including hiring, training, development, performance management, discipline, and administration of co-op policies.
- Build and maintain a strong culture of employee and customer engagement within the department.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- A minimum of three years of retail bakery experience. Previous retail management experience is an asset.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a special skill of motivating employees to achieve strong results. A solid understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
