This role will develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies that support engineering roadmaps, new-product development, supply continuity, supplier capacity, quality performance, and cost-reduction objectives. The successful candidate will bring strong PCB manufacturing knowledge, strategic sourcing experience, commercial negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, Contract Manufacturers, and global suppliers.Job Duties/Responsibilities
Aligning supplier capabilities with engineering and technology roadmaps, developing robust and competitive supplier capacity, supporting new-technology development, mitigating supply risks, and delivering sustainable cost-reduction results. Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for PCB commodities, including supplier benchmarking, market analysis, cost modeling, and risk mitigation. Identify, qualify, and develop new PCB suppliers, including Tier I & II manufacturers, to strengthen capacity, technology coverage, and supply continuity. Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to support cost, quality, delivery, reliability, and time-to-market objectives. Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, payment terms, capacity commitments, contracts, and long-term supply agreements. Partner with Engineering and Product Management to align supplier capabilities with current and future technology roadmaps. Support new-product introduction activities for MPS global design centers, including RFQs, supplier selection, qualification plans, and sourcing readiness. Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply risks related to shortages, capacity constraints, EOLs, geopolitical issues, and material availability. Provide PCB and BOM cost analysis; collaborate with Engineering, suppliers, and Contract Manufacturers to identify and deliver cost-reduction opportunities. Track PCB market conditions, raw-material trends, supplier capacity, technology developments, and competitive benchmarks. Establish supplier performance metrics and lead Quarterly Business Reviews, corrective-action follow-up, and continuous-improvement initiatives. Support Operations and Supply Chain teams during supply disruptions, quality issues, price increases, and other critical supplier escalations. Partner with Finance and Sourcing Analytics to validate, document, and report realized savings. Present sourcing strategies, supplier recommendations, cost-reduction results, and supply-risk assessments to senior leadership.
Experience Required
Master’s degree or professional certification (APICS CPIM/CSCP, PMP, or similar) preferred. 10+ years of experience in experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, supply chain, electronics manufacturing, or supplier management. Strong knowledge of PCB materials, stack-ups, surface finishes, HDI, rigid-flex, heavy copper, and supplier manufacturing capabilities Direct experience with PCB fabrication, PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing, or PCB supplier development strongly preferred. Proven PCB costing, BOM analysis, and manufacturing cost-reduction experience. Experience supporting NPI, supplier qualification, RFQs, BOM analysis, cost reduction, and contract negotiations. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute end-to-end sourcing strategies in a global environment. Experience using data, cost models, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and drive measurable improvement. Strong commercial, negotiation, supplier-management, and contract-management skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to prioritize competing demands, resolve complex supply issues, and deliver results under tight timelines. Self-directed, strategic, and results-oriented leader with strong cross-functional influencing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and data-analysis tools; Power BI experience is preferred. Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is highly preferred.

The salary range listed is based on market data and internal benchmarks.
