**Shift:**Monday- Friday; 7:30am-4:00pm

SUMMARY

To assist internal and external customers with O.S &D (Overages, Shortages and Damages) as it relates to the dock, office and customers. A portion of this position will be based on the dock floor.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily dock check and ensure all OS&D freight is accounted for.
• Track and trace freight residing on the dock both pre and post loading. Document as required and communicate to destination terminals and drivers as required.
• Ensure freight remaining on dock in error is scheduled for delivery.
• Complete daily dock error report, investigate issues, and assign responsibility.
• Assist Dock Supervisor in investigating and resolving dock related issues.
• Communicate with other terminals in resolving dock issues and errors.
• Issue a dock report to all terminals detailing overages, shortages, and damages.
• Ensure customer returns are properly documented and returned to them in a timely fashion.
• Generate terminal dock reports daily and provide copies as necessary. Develop and maintain a weekly dock report summary for all terminals. Highlight issues to Terminal Manager as necessary.
• Provide feedback to Driver Services regarding improper OS&D procedures by drivers as defined in the Driver’s Manual.
• Assist Corporate Claims Department in resolving claims.
• Responsible for all research and completion of claims action forms.
• Assist dock team members in locating local missing freight during loading.
• Work with Dock Foreman to prepare organize and label OS&D residing on dock floor end of day.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Understand the policies and procedures of dock operations and OS&D area.
• Understand all aspects of the required computer functions and paperwork as it relates to OS&D and dock areas.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments as it relates to OS&D and dock functions. Such as second deliveries, appointment problems, claims research, re-routing of trucks, and special deliveries.
• Assist in minimizing missed freight and reducing clean-up shipments.
• Work with Dock Supervisor and Operations Managers in reporting and assigning responsibility of freight errors.
• Assist in developing and maintaining freight error reports.
• Crosstrain select OS&D/dock team members to perform duties in your absence.
• Perform all other duties as requested from Terminal Manager & Dock Supervisor.
• Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team.
• Good organizational skills are required.
