This internship is designed for a student who loves to explore, prototype, and teach. The role focuses on experimenting with new technologies, including AI, and turning them into clear playbooks that help internal business teams work more efficiently. The incumbent is supported by experienced professionals and contributes to meaningful work and projects that add value to the organization. As an intern at Staples, the incumbent is a fully integrated member of the team, participates in team and company meetings, supports real business initiatives, and gains exposure to a corporate office environment while developing learning, growth, and confidence at the start of their professional career.

Specifically, you will :

Prototyping and Validation

• Build quick prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate tools, platforms, and AI capabilities.

• Track and share impact, including time saved, reliability, and developer experience.

Knowledge Sharing and Enablement

• Document and share how things work with guides, samples, and knowledge-sharing sessions

• Present to teams and help developers adopt new tools and workflows.

General Support

• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

Some of what you need:

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 0–3 years of experience, including academic work, co-op terms, internships, or personal projects, in software, platform , or DevOps.

• Good knowledge of modern front-end tooling such as React, TypeScript, and Vite/Webpack to build small UI proof of concepts and technical demos.

• Comfortable with Python/PowerShell, Git, CI/CD YAML, Docker, REST/JSON, and basic Azure concepts.

• Strong communicator who enjoys teaching and demoing in front of groups.

• Comfortable using Figma or Adobe XD to create lightweight clickable prototypes is an asset.

• Curious, hands-on, and not constrained by “this is how we’ve always done it.”
