Position Overview
The Project Engineer in PW300 Turbofan Programs, dept 3058 is responsible for product development encompassing primarily the Project/Program Management engineering discipline. Reporting to the PW307/8 Program Manager/Christina Quattrocchi.
Key responsibilities
Manage complex projects touching various aspects on the PW300 engine families: product improvement, root cause determination of field issues, solution finding to address issues, risk analysis, etc. Ensure regular communication on projects status, on-going investigations, and priority alignment. Provide overall leadership to a multidisciplined team for an assigned engine module or system IPT in order to:
- Define and achieve product design requirements.
- Effectively manage the IPT in achieving Program objectives, including requirements from other key stakeholders such as Operations, Customer Support or Marketing.
- Lead design verification, validation, and certification activities for IPT.
- Provide teams with strategic direction, while managing project scope, schedule, budget and engineering rigor.
- Assist Program Director/Managers as required.
Required Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience or master’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Strong product knowledge, acquired through experiences in more than one engineering discipline
- Proven technical leadership.
- Able to work autonomously with OEMs.
- Anticipate future business opportunities and requirements.
- Highly adaptable, the candidate will accommodate changes in priorities based on latest information and will reconcile diverse/opposing opinions to support business strategies and emerging priorities.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, challenges and recommend solutions.
- Self-starter and committed to task closure.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Availability to travel, both interplant and externally, sometimes on short notice and occasionally for extended periods.
- Being an active member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec or the association of Professional Engineers of Ontario would also be considered as an asset.

This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. Requires expert or mastery level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have deep knowledge of project management. Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs or systems. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. The salary range for this role is 123,750 CAD - 173,750 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
