Job Description
We are looking for a Kafka Administrator with strong expertise in Apache Kafka Administration, Kafka Cluster Management, Confluent Platform, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, Linux/Unix, and Kafka Security. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing high-availability Kafka platforms, performing performance tuning, production support, cluster scaling, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting enterprise messaging environments. Strong experience in Kafka Administration, Linux, Monitoring, and Production Support is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, administer, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters across Development, UAT, and Production environments. Manage Kafka brokers, topics, partitions, replication, consumer groups, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry. Monitor Kafka cluster health, performance, capacity, availability, and resource utilization using enterprise monitoring tools. Perform Kafka performance tuning, capacity planning, cluster scaling, upgrades, patching, and platform maintenance. Configure and manage Kafka security including SSL/TLS, SASL, ACLs, encryption, and authentication. Implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for enterprise Kafka platforms. Troubleshoot Kafka infrastructure, messaging, connectivity, and production issues while performing root cause analysis. Automate administrative tasks using Shell/Bash or Python scripting. Collaborate with application, DevOps, infrastructure, and data engineering teams to support Kafka-based applications. Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, monitoring, alerting, governance, and production support processes.
