The Project Specialist - Group Insurance serves as a central operational coordination point between business teams, project teams, and support teams, including IT and Operations.
In this role, the Project Specialist is responsible for stabilizing, prioritizing, and orchestrating the execution of operational work. This includes ensuring efficient and rigorous handling of requests, maintaining a structured operational work plan, and providing hands‑on support for the execution of operational projects.
Through these contributions, the Project Specialist helps ensure operational flow, priority alignment, and effective cross‑team collaboration. The role does not involve responsibilities related to the design or architecture of the targeted processes.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Coordinate the execution of operational work in support of group insurance projects and operations.
Act as the operational liaison between business teams, project teams, IT, and Operations.
Intake, prioritize, and follow up on operational requests and tickets.
Maintain and coordinate the operational work plan to ensure clear visibility of priorities and capacity.
Support continuous improvement through standardized practices and operational documentation.
Ensure proactive stakeholder communication and support operational change initiatives.
What you'll need
Qualifications
Experience in a bilingual environment with strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
College diploma or university degree in administration, management, insurance, or a related field.
5 to 7 years of experience in an operational environment, ideally in group insurance, financial services, or a complex service organization.
Experience supporting operations, managing requests or tickets, coordinating projects, or working within a service desk environment.
Experience in a system transformation or modernization context.
Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) principles, without a technical role.
