Our client is a well-established logistics & distribution company in the temperature-controlled Food / Pharmaceutical / CPG industry and have an existing job open for Transportation Manager / Logistics Manager for Maritimes - New Brunswick, NS, PE Islands to optimize – Routing, Lane, Loads, pick pack in a very fast paced cross doc facility. Strong knowledge and route planning experience for the Maritime region is a MUST have no exception ; knowledge of Food Safety, Compliance , Health Canada FDA requirements is highly preferred . The role is based in Moncton, NB will require 5 days on site and will manage multiple satellite locations. This is a day shift but will require ability to be on call, off duty hours. This is a temperature-controlled Health Canada certified facility.
Transportation Manager / Logistics Manager (Maritimes - New Brunswick, NS, PE Islands) will be fully responsible for load planning, routing for Maritimes and manage transportation for Atlantic Canada and provide leadership to the pick pack, drivers, transportation, warehousing, operations for long haul and local city dispatch in a very high-volume dispatch environment. You will manage compliance for Health Canada, GMP, Food Safety, temperature requirements, Quality, pick pack, shipping receiving drivers, manage performance, coach on company policy and procedures . You will analyze existing KPIs and score cards, optimize internal company owned fleet and 3rd party drivers for the city and long-haul trucks and trailers in Atlantic Canada.
Transportation Manager / Logistics Manager (Maritimes - New Brunswick, NS, PE Islands) will have minimum 8-10 years in routing using TMS, Road Links and other similar software for local Atlantic Canada dispatch and long hauls. Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, courses in P. Log, CITT, CCLP or similar with excellent English communication skills area must Bilingual French is an asset. Knowledge of GMP, Food / Pharmaceutical Quality compliance , Health Canada, FDA and similar is highly preferred Maritimes local geography is highly critical; knowledge of penalties by big box retailers (Walmart, Sobeys, Metro ) and similar and experience in creating custom made delivery solutions. This is a very fast paced environment. GMP HACCP and Health Canada compliance experience, transportation spends, budgets, RFP RFQ experience all help. This is a day shift with the ability to be on-call, off shift.
