Role: The Financial Reporting, Manager reports, who reports to the AVP, Finance, directly manages and collaborates closely with two financial reporting analysts and four revenue specialists. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and ensuring timely delivery of all external financial statements.
- Managing timely and accurate revenue recognition and month-end financial close.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly reporting packages for the executive team.
- Managing both external and internal audits.
- Additional responsibilities involve setting financial standards, implementing accounting policies operationally, and maintaining high standards of financial reporting.
Your Day with Equisoft: Responsibilities:
- Accounting operations: Oversee the financial reporting and revenue teams, and manage the financial integration of newly acquired companies.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure the timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements as per IFRS standards for all group entities.
- Leadership and Compliance: Lead annual external audits and collaborate with the Accounting Manager to ensure efficient month-end closes. Continuously identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Support for Business in Major Projects:
- Provide financial assessments of new initiatives, guiding teams to maximize financial performance.
- Track project costs and benefits, aligning them with established budgets and forecasts.
Requirements:
- Technical Skills: CPA designation required with 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting. Strong knowledge of IFRS, Microsoft Office, and Netsuite. Experience with IFRS 15 within the technology sector is an asset.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written).
