Duties: In addition to those duties outlined in the job description, duties include supporting students with diverse needs and/or high behavioural needs.
Education & Qualifications
A minimum of Grade 12 diploma from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Board of Education or General Educational Development (GED) A minimum of one (1) year post-secondary training related to student needs such as Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Development, Youth Worker or Rehabilitation Worker (such training must be from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Employer) A valid Class 5 drivers license
Physical Requirements: The ability to do heavy work is required in some assignments (ie; exerting up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to lift students and/or move objects).
Wage & Benefits: In accordance with the current CUPE Local 5512 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Currently, this is a range of $22.49 to $26.43 per hour.
