1.0 FTE (term) Online Learning Lead Teacher and Humanities Courses - Elev8
About the role
The Elev8 - DESK Program is looking for a 1.0 FTE (term) Online Learning Lead teacher and Humanities courses to join their summer teaching staff.
Experience teaching using the D2L/Brightspace platform is required.
Experience supporting other teachers in their use of the online platform and associated technologies and applications.
Facilitate the intake of new students, including helping with registration and course selections.
Courses include, but not limited to
· Child Development and Care Giving 12
· Composition 11
· English Studies 12
· Genocide Studies 12
· Law Studies 12
· Physical Geography 12
· Political Studies 12
· Science for Citizens 11
· Social Justice 12
· Psychology 11
Courses may be added or removed based on course enrolment numbers.

The School Board Office is located in Nelson, B.C. Our schools are dispersed geographically and range in size and composition:

- online learning and blended programs
- an extensive array of program options, including Aboriginal Education, Late French Immersion, Outdoor Programs, and a strong International Program.
Salary Range; $68,589 - $114,833 per year, in accordance with the current SD8–Kootenay Lake / KLTF Collective Agreement. Placement on the salary grid is based on qualifications and years of teaching experience as evaluated by the BC Teacher Qualification Service (TQS).
**Job Description & Requirements **
Applicants must be certified in British Columbia with a Professional Teaching Certificate, or be eligible for certification by the start date of the assignment.
