About the role
Job Summary Contracts Manager: We are looking for a business savvy and well-rounded Contracts Manager to join our legal department. As part of the legal team, you will work closely with our internal and external stakeholders. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of various contracts within our organization and work closely with the company’s commercial, sales and procurement teams. Your primary role will be to ensure that contracts are drafted, negotiated, executed, and managed effectively. This role is well suited for those with a business-focused mindset who thrive in collaborative cross-functional team settings.

- Draft and review various types of contracts, including but not limited to vendor contracts, RFPs/RFIs, customer contracts, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Manage contract modifications, amendments, and extensions, including obtaining necessary approvals and documenting changes.
- Conduct research and analysis on legal and contractual matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, finance, and business teams, to gather contract requirements and provide guidance on contract-related matters.
- Conduct contract negotiations with vendors, customers, and other parties to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Provide support to internal teams regarding contract interpretation and obligations.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements in contract management and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Considerable knowledge of contract management, drafting and negotiation.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to review and analyze contracts of varying complexity.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple contracts and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Self-starter capable of working independently and able to reliably meet deadlines.
- Solution-oriented, with the ability to think pragmatically and strategically.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in business, law, legal administration or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a contract manager, contract administrator, or in a similar role.
- Experience working with public agencies a plus.
- Knowledge of FTA contract clauses a plus.
- Previous experience at a technology company, with IT contracts or hardware supply chain a plus.
- Professional certification in contract management is desirable but not required.
