About the role
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Collections, the Page is responsible for shelving of library material, shelf maintenance and performance of a variety of clerical tasks, and helps to ensure the materials are organized and accessible.
Job Requirements
-
Formal academic training at an elementary level (i.e. high school).

Working knowledge of word processing applications (i.e. Microsoft Office – Word)

Experience in a public library environment would be beneficial.

Ability to push/pull library cart and lift and carry library materials and equipment up to 50 lbs approximately.

Ability to push and pull full book carts.

Ability to bend and reach.

Excellent skill in alphabetizing and mathematical ability and ability to learn library filing system.

Willingness to learn and take direction.

Ability to work as a team member and work independently with minimal supervision.

Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety procedures.

Availability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and Saturdays and Sundays as required.
