About the role
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Cold/refrigerated. Hot. Heavy equipment. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Welding experience. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Service attachments and working tools. Perform other routine maintenance. Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Powered equipment repair specialization: Hydraulic-operated working attachments. Compressors. Pumps. Electric generators. Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Drive trains and final drives. Hydraulic transmissions. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Manual dexterity. Standing for extended periods.
