Position

Millwright, Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mill Maintenance, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, ball mills, vibrating screens, gearboxes, concentrators, and other fixed plant equipment.
• Under minimal supervision, troubleshoot mechanical issues and equipment failures, and carry out the necessary repairs.
• Assist in equipment installations, rebuilds, and overhauls.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Collaborate with mill operations and other trades to plan and execute maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.
• Operate hand and power tools, rigging equipment, and lifting devices safely.
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with safety procedures, company standards, and environmental regulations.

Desired Competencies and Requirements

• Four (4) years' post-qualification experience in an industrial or mining environment, preferably in gold or mineral processing. Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, crushers, mills, vibrating screens, concentrators, conveyors and alignment tools.
• lnterprovincial Red Seal Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification or Nunavut Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) CoQ.
• Proficiency in SAP CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation and Benefits

For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $157,092.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $57.00 and overtime rate of $85.50) in a work year.
