Position

Mobile Maintenance Planner, Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed knowledge of equipment fleet, including specifications, performance, and lifecycle data.
• Configure short- and medium-term plans for maximizing operational time of equipment.
• Develop and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans, coordinating with departments to minimize production impact.
• Ensure resource and spare part availability by collaborating with procurement and inventory teams.
• Manage work orders and align maintenance activities with site strategies and compliance requirements.
• Use asset management systems to monitor equipment performance, analyze maintenance data, and optimize schedules.
• Generate reports on equipment reliability, maintenance KPIs, and budget planning, while upholding a strong commitment to safety in all maintenance activities.

Desired Competencies and Requirements

• Five (5) years' experience working in maintenance planning with preference given to those with both long and short mobile equipment planning experience in the mining industry.
• Journeyperson in a relevant trade and a related business certificate OR a Bachelor’s of Engineering.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) or Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) designation.
• Working experience with maintenance equipment associated with open-pit and underground mining combined with experience in Microsoft Suite and SAP or other ERP software is considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $137,800.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $50.00 and overtime rate of $75.00) in a work year.
