The typical salary range for this position is $41 280.00 - $54 180.00 annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.
This is an exisiting, full-time temporary position until September, 2026
SUMMARY: The Intern is responsible for the follow up on the purchase of assigned commodities to ensure store requirements are being met while obtaining the highest quality at the lowest possible cost, consistent with company standards.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:
*Follows up on purchases and warehouse inventories, informing the Replenisher of any discrepancy in a timely manner *Oversees inventories for the Quebec and Ontario divisions (when applicable) *Carries out the decision made by the Buyer in relation to shortages by local wholesalers (shortages at reception, refusal/withdrawal for quality problems) *Acts as contact person with the warehouse for quality problems, quality specifications, inventory adjustments or movements, as well as any shortages *Takes inventory and sends information to the Replenisher and parties concerned *Visits the warehouse to validate inventories, receiving dates, expiry dates and product quality *Other duties as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Student working towards the completion of an undergraduate degree or diploma; focus on business, finance or accounting preferred *Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel and Office suite *Bilingual, English/French is a definite asset *Strong interpersonal and communication skills *Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Excellent time management skills *Independent thinker interested in taking initiative *Proven ability to multitask and follow up on actions/issues
