About the role
Under the direction of the Bow Valley Elite Hockey Committee and Cochrane Minor Hockey, serve as Head Coach for the AA Bow Valley Timberwolves.
Foster a positive, safe, and enjoyable environment that emphasizes good sportsmanship and supports the long-term
development of every player. Focus on enhancing individual skills through team-oriented play, while ensuring
alignment with Committee policies and the established development framework. This alignment is essential to
achieving success for both the team and its individual members.
Qualifications:
Strong hockey background in playing, coaching and evaluating.
Strong interest and commitment to athlete development in life and hockey.
Ability to work with, learn from and develop fellow coaching personnel.
Ability to communicate on and off-ice requirements to players and parents
Available to meet time requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
Participate in finalizing Team program standard with AA Director
Act as the official spokesperson for the team, representing its interests in all communications.
Adhere to all CMHA Policies and Procedures
Delegate responsibilities effectively to the Assistant Coach and Team Manager to ensure smooth operations.
Develop and coordinate on- and off-ice activities in collaboration with the Assistant Coach to maximize player development.
Oversee player evaluation and selection processes in partnership with the Bow Valley Elite Hockey Committee (BVEHC).
Plan, implement, and manage pre-game preparation, including clear communication with players and staff.
Design and execute practice plans in consultation with Assistant Coaches to support skill progression and team strategy.
Lead the team during all games and practices, providing guidance and motivation.
Establish team rules and maintain supervision to ensure discipline and a positive environment.
Participate in regular scheduled progress meetings/updates with Team Manager and AAA Director
Prepare a year-end report and/or attend year end meeting as required by the Minor Association.
Provide detailed outlines of practice plans, game strategies, and recommendations for program improvement.
Organize, schedule, and participate in team-building activities to strengthen cohesion and morale.
