The role of the Windows Systems Administrator is a customer service focused position that requires you to work independently as well as part of a team to support the organizations defined service expectations. As part of the Access Administration team, you will be working within a multi-site organization where the primary accountability is to provide account management and resolution to access related issues for Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and other internal applications in an efficient, timely and courteous manner.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Manager, Cyber Defense & Identity Access Management.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working collaboratively with staff, your job duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Create, manage, administer and troubleshoot user accounts on Microsoft Active Directory System
- Create, manage, administer and troubleshoot user accounts on Office 365
- Create, manage, administer and troubleshoot user accounts on other enterprise applications and systems as assigned
- Able to collect and automate data gathering on AD using MS tools such PowerShell and AD; use of Office/Excel to manipulate and extrapolate data.
- Follow Incident and Request Management process for account administration.
- Document issues and troubleshooting steps in Incident Management system and knowledge base
- Assist other Systems Administrators as required
- Resolve Incidents/Service Request tickets as assigned
- Provide end-user training/guidance as appropriate
- Assist in cross training & documentation within immediate support team
- Actively seek opportunities for service improvement, recognizing the needs and expectations of our clients
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring of other team members when required
- Prioritize and schedule access requests Other duties as assigned
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This role is part of a team that provides service within a multi-site organization.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge
- Enrolled in Computer-related co-op programs at Universities or Colleges
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory administration Scripting, Windows Operating system, Office products
