Location: 145 Richmond Road and 975 Gladstone Avenue, Ottawa, ON
Work Model: On-site
Work Hours: Shift – 37.5 hrs/week
**Job Status:**Future Opportunity
Position Summary
As a Porter in our Building Services department, you'll maintain a clean and organized environment across all CBN facilities. Your role will involve performing general cleaning activities and moving materials within production areas. This position is ideal for motivated self-starters looking to advance to skilled trade positions within the company.
Responsibilities
-
Perform general cleaning activities such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, mopping, polishing floors, cleaning windows, removing garbage, collecting recycling, and stocking supplies.

Maintain the entire building, including administrative rooms, meeting rooms, common areas, cafeterias, locker rooms, and washrooms.

Move materials (goods on pallets) within specified production areas using carts, pallet jacks, mobile hydraulic lifts, and forklifts.
-
Ensure departments are stocked with required materials and transport finished goods to designated areas.

Adapt to dynamic daily tasks based on production demands and building traffic.

Prepare meeting rooms and client visit areas.

Various other duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Fluent in English (speak, read, write)
- Able to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance
- Able to work all shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends)
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the job:
- Continuous standing and walking (95% of shift)
- Bend, lift/lower, push/pull
- Lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Climb up and down ladders
- Work in a moderate to loud environment (ear protection provided)
