About The Opportunity

LRO is working with a successful local law firm to secure an experienced Corporate Lawyer. The selected candidate will manage the firms’ current clients by providing superior service and has the opportunity to grow and manage the corporate practice as a whole. If you enjoy working directly with business owners of small to mid sized companies providing advice and guidance while working collaboratively with an established firm that offers balance and stability, this role would be ideal.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Corporate Governance- advise Boards and senior executives on legal obligations & fiduciary duties Prepare and review Board resolutions, shareholder agreements and bylaws Maintain Corporate Records Work with business owners to negotiate and draft contracts with vendors, customers and service contracts Risk Management- identify legal risks and make recommendations Manage Purchase & Sale of businesses, conducting legal due diligence Regulatory Compliance- monitor changes in laws and provide advice Assist with regulatory filings

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

A Degree in Law from an accredited institution Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario A Minimum of five years of relevant experience in Corporate Law Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to distinguish the firm with client-centric service solutions

About the Job

This role is a full time, permanent position offering $110,000 with a strong variable component that rewards both maintenance of existing clients and new client acquisition with excellent career potential. An office outside of the downtown core offers an easy commute and free parking. This firm provides a collegial environment while giving autonomy over the practice.
