Talent Acquisition Specialist
About the role
Our client, a leader in the consumer-packaged goods industry, is looking for a TA Specialist to join their team.
Compensation
Expected base salary range is $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Post jobs on relevant jobs advertising platforms. Conduct intake with hiring managers to determine profile of ideal candidate. Screen applicants for skill, experience, and knowledge in relation to job requirements. Schedule and conduct interviews, in-person and online, with hiring managers and candidates. Provide information to potential candidate on benefits and other programs as part of the Employee Value Proposition. Award positions to union employees based on their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Consult with HR Generalist, HR Business Partners, or Total Rewards team on terms of offer agreement for internal or external candidates, if needed. Independently manage a workload and assist with overflow talent acquisition activities from other customer groups, when required. Develop and maintain a network of contacts, including online recruiting resources, to help identify and source qualified candidates. Enter employment information about new hires or transfers as a result of recruitment activities into ADP (HRIS). Prepare offer letters and employment agreements and send them to candidates for acceptance along with all other policy documents and forms.
Requirements
Post Secondary Diploma or degree in a related field required. A minimum of 3 years of full cycle recruitment experience required. Previous experience working with both hourly & salary in a manufacturing environment an asset. Working knowledge of Employment related legislation of province, including but not limited to the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA); Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), Ontario Labour Relations Act (OLRA). Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task is required. Ability to coordinate daily tasks and ongoing projects effectively and efficiently within specified timeframes. Experience with job advertising platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed.
