Bayfield House Retirement Lodge is a distinguished and licensed retirement community located in the charming town of Penetanguishene, Ontario and features 99 thoughtfully designed and well-appointed suites. Penetanguishene is a town located on the southeastern tip of Georgian Bay in Simcoe County and is approximately 150 km north of Toronto and 54 km north of Barrie. The town is known for its picturesque harbor, clear waters, and recreational opportunities, and is often referred to as a gateway to the Southern Georgian Bay region.

Join our team as a Resident Attendant - UCP!

Under the direction of the Wellness Manager, the Resident Attendant- UCP is responsible and accountable for providing optimum services to promote the wellbeing of each individual resident.

Key duties include participating in recreation and wellness, assisting with medication administration, maintaining records, observing and reporting resident changes, practicing safety and infection control, working cooperatively with all departments, and adhering to established policies and safety legislation like the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness, assisting with tours and orientations, and caring for lodge equipment and resident belongings.

We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:

• Must possess current CPR and First Aid
• Administration of Medication Certificate or equivalent medication administration training
• Experience with recreational programs preferred
• Must demonstrate good communications skills
• Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
• Prior experience in Retirement Lodge/Gerontology an asset
• Must be computer literate
