Food Server/Housekeeper required for Seniors' Living Facility in Picture Butte

Green Acres Foundation is seeking a dynamic multitasker with strong customer service skills and superior cleaning skills to work in the position of Food Services and Resident Services (housekeeping).

The ideal candidate should be safety and hygiene-driven and have above-average cleaning skills. We are also looking for a team-oriented person who has a flexible, willing, and positive attitude.

About the position:

• This is a permanent part-time position.
• The position offers an average of 15 hours per week over a 6-week cycle, but more shifts may be offered based on availability.
• Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Shifts to cover in this position are: 8am-4pm, 4pm-10pm
• After 6 months of employment, cost-sharing benefits are offered with this position.

Our Food Service staff are responsible for the following:

• Preparing the dining room for meal service and setting tables
• Assisting cooks with kitchen duties and food preparation
• Serving meals
• Cleaning duties, including cleaning the dining room after each meal
• Washing pots, pans, dishes, and utensils
• Stocking kitchenettes
• Assisting residents with medications
• Other duties as required.

Our Resident Services staff are responsible for the following:

• Clean common areas and resident rooms by completing such tasks as vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, emptying garbage containers, and cleaning surfaces.
• Using floor scrubbing and carpet cleaning equipment
• Complete specialized, seasonal, and deep cleaning duties
• Respond to emergency calls as required
• Laundry duties
• Other duties as required

Requirements for the position:

• Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check (within the last 6 months)
• The ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English
• Food Safe Certification, First Aid Certification, and WHMIS Training are an asset.
