Job Description:

There is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the team as a**Lead Hand - Carpenter.**This role will be responsible for leading a crew of carpenters and carpenter helpers; and will require hands-on experience in concrete forming and framing.

What You Will Do:

• Reading blueprints and drawings
• Constructing footings, foundations, architectural walls, suspended slabs, planters and stairs
• Test equipment and machinery to ensure good working order
• Measure and cut lumber to desired specification
• Supervise and direct workers and projects
• Coordinate and schedule workers and activities
• Ensure team is performing at peak standard and productivity
• Ensure health and safety regulations are being followed at all times
• Clean up job site at end of day ensuring all equipment is properly secure

What You Bring:

• 3+ years of experience working as a carpenter
• Diploma/Red Seal in carpentry
• Experience leading a team of subtrades
• Concrete form setting and framework experience
• Must hold a valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Confident with concrete placing and finishing
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English
• Safety first mentality – always

Salary Range:

$40-$46/hour
