About the role
ABC Supply Co. is the largest distributor of roofing and siding products across North America. With ABC's expansion into Canada, we are looking for a talented, Inside Sales Associate/Shipper to join our team!
In this role, you will provide unparalleled service in helping customers purchase the products they need to complete roofing, building, and remodeling projects. If you are committed to providing world-class service, have a passion for sales, and want to be part of a winning team, apply today!
First point of contact for in person customers, phone sales and directing calls within the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Sales/Service:
- Maintain a professional image and provide exceptional customer service.
- Process orders for both existing and new customers.
- Engage in suggestive sales to increase sales volume and remind customers of potential material needs.
- Obtain all necessary information to efficiently schedule and deliver orders, which may require follow-up with customers.
- Attempt to up-sell by suggesting better or best product options.
- Process credit returns and resolve customer complaints and billing issues.
- Utilize Salesforce to track leads, manage customer interactions, and report on sales activities
Forklift/Yard:
- Operate a forklift as needed to assist customers
- Can do heavy lifting
- Likes to work hard in a fun atmosphere
- Roofing/Siding background is an asset
- MUST have steel-toed work shoes or boots
- A forklift license is preferred (willing to train)
Miscellaneous:
- Maintain showroom appearance and provide a clean customer service counter.
- May assist in reordering products to keep store and warehouse shelves well-stocked.
- Address and resolve service concerns when they arise.
- Assist with store and warehouse inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in an inside sales role.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals successfully.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM software is highly desirable.
- Ability to understand technical products and convey their benefits effectively to customers.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve sales targets and contribute to team success.
- Previous experience in technical sales is advantageous but not required.
